About Fujimaki Shihan

Hiroshi Fujimaki Shihan (7th Dan) is no stranger to the Filipino Aikido community.

He first visited the Philippines as a young 2nd Dan in 1992, when he was then assistant to Hayato Osawa Shihan (then 6th Dan, now 8th Dan), a prominent Hombu Dojo instructor and son of the legendary Kisaburo Osawa.

Filipino aikidokas became more familiar of Fujimaki Shihan after the Hombu Dojo and the Japan International Cooperation Agency sent him to the Philippines for a six-month teaching tour in 1998.

Since then, he became a frequent visitor to the Philippines and has held several Hombu Dojo-sponsored seminars here.

He has been credited for influencing several generations of Filipino Aikido practitioners.

Aside from the Philippines, Fujimaki Shihan also tours the United States, Europe and other countries to promote Aikido to old and new generations of practitioners.

His dedication to the development and propagation of Aikido has earned him a solid reputation in the martial arts world and the affection of the Filipino Aikido community.

To date, Fujimaki Shihan is considered the most frequent visitor from Hombu Dojo to the Philippines.
